Special Features

A More Durable Tunnel

Unlike other tunnels that are made of a fabric best left for flying kites, this tunnel is made from a durable heavyweight Dacron polyester fabric that resembles canvas in thickness and feel. It resists the roughness of dog’s claws and will hold up to the rigorous activity of dog agility training. It has a steel coil that is sewn inside of the lining so nothing will catch on your dog, and like a big slinky it condenses up for easy storage.

Safer Jump

When dogs leap over the jump, occasionally they will ‘miss’ it and crash onto the jump bar. If the bar doesn’t fall away, there could be injury or trauma. The bar rests on two jump cups. Properly designed jump cups are key to a safe landing. Our jump cups have been specially molded to AKC standards of safety. They have smooth edges to prevent gouging, are shaped to hold the bar in place during normal use, and to let it fall away if touched by any part of your dog.

Break Away Tire

All agility trainers agree that the tire jump can be the most dangerous obstacle used in dog agility. So much so that AKC issued a requirement that all tires used should have a “break away” feature. Our tire has a simple yet innovative approach to accomplish this. When your dog jumps through but doesn’t quite make it all the way, some part of their body will hit the break-away coupler on the bottom of the tire. The tire will automatically open, allowing your dog a safe landing.

Versatile Weave Poles

Weave poles can be the most difficult obstacle to train. One of the most popular methods of training uses a 2×2 set, and our weave pole set can be configured to train this method. When set up in the 2×2 configuration, your dog follows a path through a ‘channel’ of separated and staggered weave poles. Throughout training, the channel width is slowly decreased by rotating the bases. Eventually your dog is slowly trained into a straight weaving path.

6 Pole Weave Set

This weave pole set can be used in a conventional straight line or reconfigured into a 2×2 training set. Weave pole feet alternate sides according the path in which your dog runs (your dog always enters to the right of the first pole). The six weave poles stand 30 inches tall and are spaced 24 inches apart. It has a free standing base that can be used indoors or outside.

Pause Box

The pause box is a great training aid and substitute for the pause table. The concept is simple, your dog must enter the pause box area, and once all four paws are inside then your dog must stay within the area for 5 seconds before exiting and moving on to the next obstacle. It measures 30 inches square.

Bar Jump

The bar jump is 36 inches wide and stands 30 inches tall. The adjustable height jump bar can be as low as a few inches off the ground and up to 26 inches high. The jump bar rests on two jump cups that snap on to the side uprights. You slide these up or down to the desired jump height. It has a free standing base that can be used indoors or outside.

Tire Jump

The tire jump has a 24 inch diameter hoop that adjusts in height by sliding it up or down the side uprights. It is held in place with special bungee cords, rests on the face of the uprights, and will stay securely in place. The tire itself will keep its shape, not deform, and has a built in breakaway safety feature. It has a free standing base that can be used indoors or outside.

Tunnel

The tunnel is 9 feet long and has a 22 inch diameter. It is good for all size dogs except the largest of breeds. It is made of a durable heavyweight Dacron polyester fabric that resembles canvas in thickness and feel. It has a steel coil that is sewn inside the lining, and like a big slinky it condenses up for easy storage. It can be used in a straight shape or in a curved shape.

Carry Bag

The carry bag is made of the same durable fabric as the tunnel is made of. It has an attractive color agility logo, a clear pocket to store instructions, and a quality zipper along the top and sides. All obstacles easily break down to fit within the bag for easy storage or travel.

Detailed Instruction & Training Tips

The included instructions are easy to understand with pictures and clear descriptions. They show you how to assemble your obstacles and also provide you with training tips for each obstacle. The instructions can be stored in the clear pocket on the carry bag.
