The hinged roof has two gas-springs so it stays open for cleaning, but won’t slam shut on fingers or paws. The double hand-latch release mechanism ensures the roof won’t open due to wind or prying paws. The Lifetime Deluxe Dog House is constructed of durable High-density Polyethylene (HDPE) which is UV-protected and impact-resistant.
